Open Mon. - Sat. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sun. Noon - 5 p.m. 127 acre, non-profit environmental educational facility on the Chattahoochee River featuring a new Discovery Center that interprets the Chattahoochee watershed. Encompasses fresh water ponds, wooded upland trails, and river marshes. Nature store, programs, summer camps.

Grand Greek revival mansions and humble mill worker's apartments are some of the haunted sites you'll see on this mile of easy walking. Tours depart from the bandstand in Roswell Square (across from the Roswell Visitor's Center). Call for tour times. Reservations are required. Private group tours available. $10 for children 12 and under, $15 for adults.

Roswell Mills and Mill Life
Roswell Mills were some of the most prosperous in Georgia and important to the Civil War efforts of the South. Four Hundred, mostly women and children, mill workers were charged with treason and deported to the north. Click here for a downloadable audio tour and general information.

The Heritage Center at Roswell Visitors Bureau houses exhibits showcasing the history of the Roswell Mills and Mill Life. Part of the Roswell Visitors Center, the exhibits are open to the public; free of charge.

Lost Mill Workers of Roswell Monument

Lover's Rock
Scenic rock shelter was used by Native Americans as living quarters.  Located to the rear of Allenbrook at the end of the old railroad cut.

Open 7 days a week during the day and early evening unless personnel are responding to a fire or EMS Call Honoring Roswell's Volunteer Fire Department, the museum depicts how firefighting progressed from the earliest days in America to the present.

Sixteen miles of trails wind through the city. Vickery Creek Park, with an interpretive walk highlighting the old mill ruins, allows visitors to get close to Vickery Creek and its dam. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is linked to the trail by the Old Mill Covered Pedestrian Bridge.

Enjoy the beauty of the Chattahoochee River at Azalea Park on Azalea Drive; Don White Memorial Park on Riverside Rd; Riverside Park on Riverside Road. Maps and information about the trails available at the Roswell Visitors Center.
