Depending on how the last year was for you, these can vary. Maybe it’s wanting to exercise more, being budget friendly or finding new ways to treat yourself; whichever you want to focus on, Roswell has ways to make the New Year great.
Get Outside and Explore
Roswell has many ways to enjoy the great outdoors and walking, hiking and biking trails are plentiful here. A few of our favorites are the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area trails that can be accessed from multiple points including Riverside Road and the Covered Pedestrian Bridge in Old Mill Park. A little over 4 miles of trails, this makes a great for a great hike. Make sure to walk down to Vickery Creek and get a gorgeous view of the waterfall.
Big Creek Park is THE spot for mountain bikers of all experience levels. Different trails offer varying degrees of difficulty for beginners up to advanced riders. There are also great paths to walk on so bring the family and dogs to make this a group outing.
Catch panoramic views of the Chattahoochee River on Roswell’s Riverwalk Boardwalk. Four miles of boardwalk takes walkers, bikers, runners (or whichever way you like to exercise) over marshy areas, along the river providing a picturesque place to enjoy.
When you visit Roswell, you’ll find plenty of affordable and free things to do. Check out our list of free activities to add in to your trip that includes the trails mentioned above along with Canton Street, seeing the Cherokee Memorial, and ArtAround Roswell Sculpture Tour among others.
