Abstract Mixed Media Painting

Come experience abstract painting.

Students will explore imaginative ways to create abstract art by using a variety of materials such as charcoal, pastels, ink, and acrylic paint. New methods to create texture, layers, and bold marks are taught along with the study of line, color, and composition. A different contemporary artist is introduced in each class to inspire new approaches to abstraction. Critiques and demonstrations contribute to this intuitive process.
