Intro to Shakespeare for Ages 10-14

This class introduces young thespians to the work and language of William Shakespeare.

We will explore wordcraft and stagecraft through play, building confidence and expanding creativity by working together to craft a final performance of Shakespearean scenes. No experience necessary! Students will be introduced to iambic pentameter and basic rhetoric in addition to acting and blocking clues found within the text. We will work on one of Shakespeare’s comedies together and present a final performance of scenes from the play in the final class for friends and family. Your young actor may think Shakespeare is “too difficult” but after 10 weeks they will love these stories and characters!
