Art in and Around Roswell

There’s public art, performing arts, a variety of art galleries and also art classes to partake in among others.

Performing Arts

Recently, I had the pleasure of going to see a show at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. The Georgia Ensemble Theater, who is housed in the Cultural Arts Center, kicked off their season with “9 to 5: The Musical.” I’ve seen the movie and thought it would be a great introduction to the Georgia Ensemble Theater. And, let me tell you, I was not wrong. The actors chosen to play these hilarious characters were the perfect people to do so.

They had the audience laughing hysterically throughout all the anecdotes and stunts they pulled.

I brought my parents along and we had such a great time. We definitely plan on going back to see another show sometime soon. Check out the Georgia Ensemble Theater’s schedule.

The Roswell Cultural Arts Center is a great venue. There’s not a bad seat in the house which is I always appreciate if I’m sitting on the sides or closer to the back. They also put on their own productions, which I have plans of going to as well – especially the Classic Nashville Christmas.

Public Art

A great way to tour around Roswell and see a lot of the parks is to go on the ArtAround Roswell Sculpture Tour. This is a self-guided and self-driving, in my case, tour. I printed off the map and hit the road to see these sculptures in person. Being new to Roswell, this was a fun way to introduce myself to the parks and see what each offers while seeing beautiful pieces of public art. It’s a museum without walls, which I just love.
