Merry Christmas!

The holiday season is just around the corner, and the City of Roswell is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of the annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Heart of Roswell Park.

This festive holiday event promises to ignite the spirit of the season and bring the Roswell community together for a night of joy, music, and merriment. Mark your calendars for Friday, December 6, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., as we come together to kick off the festive holiday season.

Roswell’s Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree has become a beloved tradition for families and friends, marking the official start of the holiday festivities. This year's celebration is poised to be bigger and brighter than ever, featuring a stunning 40-foot Christmas tree and a myriad of activities and attractions for attendees of all ages throughout the evening.

Grand Illumination:
Watch in awe as our majestic 40-foot Christmas tree comes to life in a dazzling display of lights, transforming the Heart of Roswell Park into a winter wonderland and Mayor Kurt Wilson reading the iconic children’s book, Twas’ the Night Before Christmas.

Live Entertainment: Delight in the sounds of the season with live performances by River Eves Elementary School, Crabapple Middle School, Zion Missionary Baptist Church Choir and Roswell United Methodist Choir. Experience the magic of holiday music that will warm your heart and lift your spirits.

Visit from Santa Claus: Jolly old Santa Claus will make a special appearance, spreading joy, where little ones can meet the jolly man, share their holiday wishes, and take memorable photos to cherish for years to come.

Deck the Square: Stop by after the Lighting of the Christmas Tree to indulge in the spirit of the holidays by checking out Deck the Square, a display of community-decorated Christmas Trees located at Historic Town Square. The trees will be on display until December 31, 2024.

Fire Pits & S’mores: Cozy up next to the fire pit and have a chance to roast marshmallows for s’mores and to sip on warm hot chocolate.
