Mimosa Hall

Designed and built by John Dunwody (later spelled Dunwoody) in 1840, Mimosa Hall is a stunning Greek Revival with its lush and iconic gardens created by one-time owner, Atlanta architect, Neel Reid. The city of Roswell purchased the house in 2017 along with 9 acres with plans to respect the property’s historic significance and ensure the preservation of Mimosa Hall for years to come. The pre-civil war mansion joins the legacy of Roswell’s Southern Trilogy House Museums: Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation, and other historic treasures in Roswell.

Unlike the other historic houses owned and operated by the City of Roswell — Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall, and Smith Plantation — Mimosa Hall will not be operated as a museum. However, the grounds are open to the public for self-guided tours.
