Spring Break is coming up and it's a great time to stretch your legs a bit, so we've rounded up some family-friendly ideas to make the break fun for you and your kids. Take the time to get out of the house, do something different and explore.
Outdoor Adventures
Chattahoochee Nature Center
Spring is such a pretty time to head to the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Walk along the path to see plants starting to bloom and learn about the resident animals you'll see along the way. Pack some snacks and picnic on the lawn in front of the pavilion. Afterwards head up on to the trail to take a walk in the woods or head across the bridge to the boardwalk along the river.
Chattahoochee River Fun
The weather is warming up a bit and it's getting to be river season. Grab your own gear or rent from the Nantahala Outdoor Center outpost at Azalea Park. Their season opens up on April 3rd and you can rent tubes, kayaks, rafts, canoes and paddle boards. They also rent e-bikes to take advantage of the trails that parallel the river. What a fun way to kick off Spring with a little time out on the river.
Roswell Parks
Roswell is surrounded by nature with seven miles along the Chattahoochee River, over 1,000 acres of parks and a ton of hiking trails. There are so many ways to enjoy the outdoors, all you have to do is decide which way to try first. You'll find art sculptures on Roswell's ArtAround Tour, playgrounds, hiking trails, paved and dirt biking paths, access to the river, perfect picnic areas and lots of ways for you, your kids and dogs to enjoy. Check out what each one has to offer and choose where to go first.
Indoor Explorations
Chocolate Making

Computer Museum of America
Walk through a timeline of nostalgia and bring your kids along for the ride at the Computer Museum of America. See how technology has progressed to make it so convenient for us today. Make sure to check out the gaming corner that has vintage arcade and video games and the exhibit on the moon landing (snap some photos doing the moon walk on the moon surface).
The Fringe Miniature Golf
Set up a friendly competition with the family and play a round of mini-golf at The Fringe and see who wins. There are two courses to choose from. Ready. Set. Play! When you've finished your game head inside to catch a flick at Aurora Theater.
