To our many repeat visitors, and to those who have yet to come:
Our team at Visit Roswell wants to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in, and love for, our community. Many of you have visited Roswell several times previously – whether to dine in our restaurants, hold a meeting within our hotels or venues, experience our award winning parks or the Chattahoochee River, soak in the history of Roswell’s roots as a mill town, or perhaps you even chose us as the special place in which to tie the knot with your soulmate. Thank you. For those of you planning your upcoming visit – a plan likely cut short due to the circumstances of COVID-19 - we thank you as well and know that you’ll be here soon.
As with many destinations around the globe, our community is experiencing a substantial hit to business. This is felt throughout our entire hospitality community – from hotels and restaurants, to our retail and arts partners, to all of the vendors who rely on our industry for employment. The support needed from you can come in a variety of ways:
1. Purchase gift cards from restaurants. This is a great way to help cash flow and support local establishments in the present and near/long-term future.
2. Purchase gift cards from local retailers and galleries. Now is a great time to get ahead of your normally-chaotic holiday shopping routine.
3. Place orders for takeout or curbside pickup. Most of our restaurants have modified their business models to focus on this. Many have even developed custom menus.
4. Browse your favorite Roswell organization's or business’s website for online product and swag. A lot of our partners are set up for e-commerce for convenience of transaction.
5. Share photos on social media from your past Roswell experiences to enliven spirits. Use our hashtags #VisitRoswellGA and #AtYourNaturalPace. Make sure you tag your locations, too. We need to see some smiles!
I’d also like to encourage any of our groups to work with our staff on rescheduling meetings, social functions, weddings, mitzvahs, and family reunions to later dates. Our team is at your service in navigating the conversation with hotels, venues and vendors. The most negatively-impactful thing to do right now, in terms of local business, is to outright cancel. We know that our partners are willing to be both flexible and creative in ensuring you’re able to stick with us. Please reach out to our group sales manager, Ted Basco, at tbasco@visitroswellga.com when you are ready. We’ll be here every step of the way.
