If there's one thing Roswell knows about the holiday season, it's how to host holiday events.
This year is no exception, as our calendar is loaded with events fun for the entire family. And while the City of Roswell hosts a variety of events throughout the months of November and December, local businesses, attractions and organizations also host plenty of their own. Roswell Christkindl Market: Located on the grounds of Bulloch Hall, the Roswell Christkindl Market is a traditional German Christmas market that features a large variety of artisan booths and offerings. Stroll the grounds and take in homemade mulled wine according to traditional German recipe, food, vendors, giftshops, pictures with Santa, and decorated trees. The pet-friendly market runs through December 22nd on the following days: Monday – Thursday 3:00PM – 8:00PM, Friday & Saturday 12:00PM – 9:00PM, and Sunday 12:00PM – 8:00PM.
Angel Bar: One of Georgia's absolute best brewpubs, From the Earth Brewing Co. goes all out when it comes to Christmas. Dubbed "Angel Bar," From the Earth transforms into a winter wonderland throughout December. From festive cocktails to over-the-top decorations, it's the perfect spot to embrace the holiday spirit while enjoying some amazing grub and local craft beer and motivational indulgences. November 29th through December 31st.
Lighting of the Christmas Tree: An annual event located at Heart of Roswell Park, the Lighting of the Christmas Tree features the grand illumination of the 40 ft. tree, fire pits + s'mores, live performances from area choirs, and a visit from Santa Claus himself. December 6th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
Deck the Square: Stop by throughout the month of December to indulge in the spirit of the holidays by checking out Deck the Square, a display of community-decorated Christmas Trees located at Historic Town Square. The trees will be on display until December 31, 2024, and showcase a variety of creative designs by local Roswell businesses and organizations.
Historic House Museums: From now through the end of the year, Roswell's house museums are decked out in all their splendor and available for guided or self-guide tours. Free to the public, guests can explore room by room, taking in the splendid holiday decor that brings festive life to the homes, all constructed in the 1800s.
Roswell United Methodist Church Christmas Gift & Craft Show: Festive gifts. Artisan crafts. Delicious goodies. You’ll find all that and more at RUMC’s Seventh Annual Christmas Gift and Craft Show. Find the perfect gift for anyone and everyone in your life; from kids to in-laws to teachers and anyone in between. Vendors offer diverse, high-quality merchandise for even the most discerning of gift recipients. December 6th through 7th.
Back to Nature Holiday Market: Support local vendors and one of our most well-known local attractions. Located at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, the "Back to Nature" holiday market features local artisans who have unique, handmade, and/or eco-friendly gifts for the holiday season. Patrons will find art, jewelry, candles, children’s gifts, bath products, food, nature gifts, and so much more. December 7th from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.
Candy Cane Fun Run: Come dressed in your ugly holiday sweater or other festive attire for this holiday fun run. The run starts at 8:30AM and is not a timed run. The 2.4k (1.5-mile) course is on the trail in Roswell Area Park and will be filled with holiday themed inflatables throughout the course. After the run, enjoy a hayride through the park and hot chocolate + s'mores by the bonfire overlooking the pond. Bring your camera and get your picture taken with Santa at the end of the run. Runners will receive a holiday race medal and supplies to make your favorite s’mores and hot chocolate. Fun Run starts and finishes at the picnic shelter by the pond in Roswell Area Park. December 7th from 8:30AM to 10:00AM.
Trouble in Toyland: Taking place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center,“Trouble in Toyland” by Lee Bryan promises laughs for the whole family. It’s Christmas Eve but the toys aren’t finished, elves are on strike, Santa has lost his laugh, and Rudolph has a runny nose! Will Christmas be canceled? Of course not! This show delivers holiday hijinks that is fun for everyone. December 19th through 21st - multiple times available.
