Welding 101

Welding 101 is designed for beginners interested in learning how to join mild steel for functional or sculptural projects, repair tasks, and other creative metalworking applications.

In this class, you will be guided through the setup and use of MIG, stick, and TIG welders, along with other fabrication techniques. Expect to learn how to create strong, reliable joints on mild steel, and how to select and use tools for cutting and finishing. Your instructor will guide you through projects tailored to help you master the process, offering suggestions based on your interests. In the second half of the program, you’ll develop and explore your personal ideas with the instructor's support.

  • Admission: No experience necessary. Must be at least 16 years old on the first day of class.
